One thing I’ve come to realize is that your health is a journey in transforming your thoughts, your perspective on how you move your body and how you nourish your body with food. Our amazing creator, God, has blessed us with the ability to utilize these tools to live a life where we thrive and can live out our purpose. When we sabotage our daily life with negativity, pessimistic thoughts, emotions that aren’t processed, working out out of fear and not love, eating our feelings instead of eating for nourishment and energy… we will struggle. Missy chats with us today about how her health journey has led her to helping others by focusing on slowing down, being mindful and using our thoughts, food and movement as a way to heal our bodies out of love.

Action Step: Missy recommends focusing on becoming more mindful during your day. To start this journey, take a few minutes each day to slow down. It could be a short walk, stepping outside during work to feel the warm sunshine or even just a couple deep breaths to slow down to allow yourself to reset. This can be really foreign if you’ve never made this an intention or a priority in the past. You may even want to set your timer or a reminder to go off once or a twice a day to remind you of this focus to be more mindful.
