Holiday season- there are cookies, fudge, baked goods, bars, candy galore!! If you struggle with sugar, food and control- this is a nightmare and can literally stress you out.

In the past I knew that I shouldn’t be constantly thinking about the goods and when to eat it, how much should I eat or when I should stop.

I knew that I shouldn’t depend on the sugar rush the sweets would provide in order to get through the chaos.

But, I had no idea how this would ever end. What would my life look like not turning to sugar/ sweets or even worse… what if I didn’t eat those foods and never tasted that yumminess… how boring!

But, I longed for a different life where my mind would be at peace with sweets and food and where it would no longer feel like a battle.

Action Step:   Get curious, do you struggle with sugar? With food? With overeating? Do you desire change?

37: CHANGES, CHALLENGES, GROWTH



WOW-How is it almost 2020!? I remember last year at this time. It was a not-so-fun part of my life and my journey. I remember getting my lowest paycheck in my network marketing biz and feeling like such a failure, feeling like what is wrong with me? Why am I struggling so much!? Listen to hear about where 2019 took me: The up’s, the down’s the feelings of being an imposter, the feelings of failure and the feelings of disappointment.

But, I’m grateful. I’m so grateful for that opportunity because I would never be where I am today. 36: IMPORTANCE OF VALUES WITH CO-HOST BENTON AGE 3 :)



Values- often time we don’t think about values unless we are reading about a biz and they are chatting to us about their values and what they think is important. But, really have you been curious about your own values!? Values are important because as we make decisions in our life, when we are choosing options that aren’t in alignment with our values, we struggle with this disconnect which often leads us to numbing out. For myself, I turned to food & sugar. I struggled because I knew all this information but struggled with acutually applying what I learned into my daily life. By digging deep, being curious and truly determining what are your values, you can start to make your decisions in alignment with these values which will help you with alignment.

Action Step:   Hop on Pinterest & check out a list of values and see what is important to you. Write down your top 5 and then journal out why they are important to you and how these values show up in your daily life.

34: WHAT TRIGGERS ILLNESS- IT’S LIKELY NOT WHAT YOU THINK!



I started reading Caroline Myss book called Anatomy of the Spirit and took away a few super interesting pieces! She chats a ton about our emotions and how they are related to sickness, illness and disease. “To create disease, negative emotions have to be dominant and what accelerates the process is knowing the negative thought to be toxic but giving it permission to thrive in your consciousness anyway.” For example, when you know you need to forgive someone, but you decide to remain angry because you feel like that gives you more power.

These built up emotions inside of us do us literally no freaking good!! Then why are we so addicted to holding on to them? Why do we find it hard to let it go!?

Going through a coaching program that focused on feeling our emotions to heal was key to me realizing the importance, working through it, embodying the work and realizing that this is crazy important for all of us to understand!!

Action Step:   Make a list of who do you need to forgive? Is it someone else? Is it you? Then start writing letters. Write a letter from you to that person and vice versa. What do you want to say to them, but you can’t? What did you wish to hear from them, but they never said it to you? Read it aloud, look at the mirror, feel into it. Feel into every little piece. Then let it go. Chop it up, burn it up (be responsible!!!) and release it. How does it feel?

33:  DO YOU NEED TO STOP LISTENING TO PODCASTS!? 



I bet you never thought you would hear a podcaster talk about this!?
But, seriously- are you addicted to consuming content!? Do you fill every waking moment with a podcast, audible book, reading a book that is teaching you something or guiding you to live a certain way? Do you feel like you are falling short because you learned awesome material, but you aren’t applying it?

I’ve been there, I hear you lady.

Stop. Just stop the podcasts, the audible books, the self-help books and just be present.

Instead of filling you with content, it’s OK to take a step back and choose some fun options like putting on your favorite Spotify or Pandora station and jamming out to your fav songs, or what if you sat in silence in your car (GASP!!) Or what if you use the noting tool, I teach you in this episode to allow you to slow down, be more present and reduce some of that anxiety and overwhelm.

Action Step:   I dare you. If you are at that point where I was and feeling like there is so much to implement and so much to learn and go- go – go…. stop. Start noting your thoughts, start adding some fun back into your life and see how different your days are when you stop over consuming and start being present.

32: UNENGAGED PARENTING TO TRUSTING AND SURRENDERING WITH MEGAN BAXTER

I had never heard of the term “unengaged parent” before. It means when we as parents are not providing ourselves to our children. I can think of so many times I’m “busy” getting things done- cooking, cleaning, job, life, laundry, etc and being that unengaged parent so I can totally relate. Megan shares with us how the magic in being able to change was when she focused about reprioritizing.

31: OVERCOMING EMOTIONAL TRAUMA WITH STEPH GERMAN



Emotional trauma- we all have it to some degree. Some of us hide it really well, some of us have been able to let go of it, while others struggle in their daily lives because it constantly haunts them and nags at them.

Often times left untreated or when we choose to numb/suppress this part of us it will eventually lead us to bigger symptoms that will finally get our attention, like anxiety or turning to food to emotionally eat or binge eat our way out of those feelings that we are trying to run from and the emotional weight that we find ourselves carrying.

Listen in to get the secret sauce on the key component that you need to heal emotional trauma from Steph who has been there down in the trenches and worked her way back up. This work will never be a quick fix, nor will we say it’s easy, but we are certain that this style focuses on long term transformation instead of a temporary quick microwave fix.

30: THE POWER OF TWO: TIME MANAGEMENT TIP



I never have enough time.

I can’t do that.

There is no way that is going to fit into my schedule.

I just can’t seem to do it all.

Why can’t I figure this out?

Do you ever feel like everyone else has the time management thing all perfect and you are lagging behind thinking holy moly…. I seriously have so much to do and so LITTLE time to do it. AHHH!!!  Raise the hand…. ME!!!

Here is one thing that I’ve started that truly has helped me. It’s not massive, it’s a tiny microstep that can easily be embodied during your day and I hope that it helps you as much as it has helped me!

Action Step:   Brain dump everything you have on your mind right now that you would like to do. Now, take out your calendar, note section in your phone and mark down two things for each day that you WILL do. Only two. Don’t go cray-cray and mark down 15 things to do each day because let’s be realistic… how has that worked out for you in the past. Then- each day when you rock out the two things.. notice how good it feels that you accomplished the two things!! Whoo Hoo!!!
